Since June 2000 FMG´s Old Guesthouse (Gamla gistihúsið) in Isafjordur has been open for business. The guesthouse is very well based in Mánagata 5, which is close to the downtown. The history of the house is interresting. It has been serving the townspeople for over 100 years, first as a hospital but later as a old people´s home. The Old Guesthouse has been rated by the Icelandic board of travel affairs and was granted two stars. This kind of rating is new in Iceland but most people recognise it from many countries.
